oceantheorem: (nothing to do but smile)

I got this from Jen and have decided to simply delete all the questions I don't care to answer. So it should be considerably shorter than 125 questions by the time I've finished.

1)Name: Kara Lynn Hamilton

2)Favorite Color: blue or green or purple or silver... hmm.

3)Favorite Food: Steak. Or cheesecake.

4)Favorite drink(non alcohalic): Any coffee drink

5)Favorite time of the day: Dawn... but only if I can go back to bed afterwards. I also like late afternoon.

6)Favorite texture: the no-skid bumps on the bottom of my soft socks

11)Lights on or lights off: For....? Oh, that. Off.

13)Favorite type of wood: I actually like this question, but I honestly can't think of a good answer for it. I think I like cherry wood? A good red wood? Pfft. Who thinks about that kind of thing?

14)Favorite Animal: Saccharomyces cerevisiae or Saccharomyces uvarum, especially if they're being used to break down sugars into other enjoyable substances. Did you know that Saccharomyces uvarum has the ability to ferment the sugar melibose because it has alpha-galactosidase, which S. cerevisiae lacks?

16)Duck or Goose: Ducks are cute. But geese are funny.

23)Is orange really the new pink?: Well, I wouldn't know, but according to my ex-RA, sexism is the new black.

28)What's your one wish?: I want my tuition paid.

29)Favorite horror movie: Event Horizon, even though I don't remember it

31)Clothes or no clothes: Um, I'm a no clothes kind of girl... but that's because it's more comfortable to be unclad.

33)Favorite Band: Weezer, of course!

36)Is the sun too bright: And what do you propose we do if the answer is yes? Exactly. So why even ask?

42)Do you like X-Mas lights: Yeah... They're like comfort food... except not edible.

43)Ever ridded a horse: Ridded? No. But I used to ride horses in middle school, and I loved that.

44)Ever been to a foriegn country: I've been to Canada, Mexico, and France.

53)How old are you: 19, but only for six more days!

57)Favorite bug: Potato bugs, probly. And ladybugs.

58)Do you like puzzles: YES. I love logic problems.

62)How many U.S. dollars or cents is a peso worth: That will be four hectares, please.

64)Favorite little kid game: Red Rover

66)Know morse code: I know where to find it on the internet!

68)Believe in evolution: Of course. What kind of scientist would I be if I didn't?

76)What's H2O: Did you know that drinking too much water can actually make you drunk? I'm astounded by that fact. Granted, you have to chug several gallons, and then you have to be hospitalized... but I'm still astounded. I mean, ethanol works by screwing with concentration gradients of enzymes and stuff... so I guess water could too, but this still shocks me.

82)What are your views on the Banana Movement: I support bananas, and I think they should be included in the census and be given the right to obtain driver's licenses. But they shouldn't be able to vote or be elected. I mean, come on, who ever heard of a banana for a president? Oh, wait.

85)Whos the sexiest person on earth: Me.

87)Will there really be strawberry fields forever?: Well, not if they pave paradise and put up a parking lot.

90)Who do you want in your bed?: Orlando Bloom. I feel confident with that answer. I don't think I'm going to fail this quiz.

94)Gold or Silver: Silver

98)Ever been on a school football team: Well, I did Powderpuff both years, if that counts. That was a lot of fun.

99)Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Oh, you know. I'll have a kid and a Ph.D. or two.

100)Who do you see yourself falling in love with: Well, if I knew who I was going to fall in love with, wouldn't I already be in love? And then wouldn't this question be pointless?

101)Do you like grapes: Yes, but I HATE the ones with seeds in them.

103)Could you sail a ship: Yes, actually, yes I could.

108)Whats your martial status: I'm a black belt in Tai Kwan Tofu Do.

114)How did Dairy Queen get pregnant: Ooo, ooo, I just heard this one! Ready?....Burger King forgot to wrap his whopper! Baaaahahahaaa.

121)Is the sea blue: Well, that actually depends on currents, tides, and wind patterns. It can be awfully green sometimes.

124)Have you ever been high: No.

My god, that was exhausting. Maybe I shouldn't have started in the first place.

Sooo... I failed my first test last week. Got a 32 on a physics midterm. Out of 100, yes. And the average was a 57. Good times. Got awfully drunk, missed a mandatory art section, forgot to turn in an assigment, turned it in four days late half completed, started my thesis, talked to my professor and got my 32 up to a 39 and was assured I can still get an A in the class, and, most importantly,

I got the new Weezer album last Wednesday! There's a guy in my physics lab who pulled out his CD player after we finished our lab, and I saw it said "=W= Make Believe" on his CD and I flipped out. It doesn't come out until May 10 (the day after my birthday!!), so I requested that he send it to me over AIM. He did and it's an amazing album! It's such a nice change after Green and Maladroit. There's one song that starts out sounding like Green but then morphs into this amazing song... Oh man, the whole album is incredible. I'm still, of course, going to buy it the morning it comes out, on my way to school... but it's totally thrilling to have the album two weeks early. If any of you fanatics out there want it, let me know. But if you're not a fanatic you have to wait! This sort of privilege should be reserved for Weezer addicts only.

Anyway. Now that I've been sufficiently 13 for the day....

Not much else is going on. I'm enjoying the spring and have decided to not to summer school. So I'll just be working for that one month, June 26-July 23 or something like that, and then I'll have the rest of the summer off to do WHATEVER THE HELL I PLEASE.

The funny thing is, when I decided that, I thought immediately, "Ooh!! Eight weeks free! I should take SUMMER SCHOOL!" And then I hit myself. I intend to force myself to not to work or school or thesis or anything for at least four of those eight weeks. Who wants to go on a road trip? Anyone, anyone? I don't care where we go! I just want a bunch of friends on a long, happy road trip. I've always wanted to take a road trip with friends.

I guess I should get back to studying for midterms....

Six days until my birthday!

Hate to burst the bubble, but the whole album can be listened to on Weezer's Myspace page:

www.myspace.com/weezer

If you have software that records everything that is played through your soundcard, you could easily jack this album no problem.

Other CDs that have been previewed on Myspace:

NIN = With Teeth
Mudvayne = Lost and Found

btw...anyone notice that the opening of Perfect Situation is the exact same (the first couple of notes) as the intro to "Simple Pages."

go you! At first I was wondering if for some reason they didn't put in the wrong song by mistake and then it became a *clearly* different song.

Dude... I love you and all, but I'm not getting up at 1:30 in the morning to hang out. I'm so not a morning person...

But we should hang out other times! As soon as I find out when I'm going to be in Reno, I'll let you know.
