Jim is out somewhere in the city, selling my car. It's a good financial move. There's a job he can move into that requires a 4-door car, and mine is a 2-door, and he really needs to be able to take this job. So we'll sell this one and buy a different one. It makes sense.
Still, it's been a good six years. I'll miss her.
In Reno, repacking to move to Connecticut in 2006:

First picture of me (and the car) in Connecticut:

The car, in Maine, on a 3-day vacation I took by myself in 2007 and very badly needed:

The car modeling a shawl in Michigan:

The view as I drove home from Rhinebeck in fall 2010 (that giraffe sat there so long he's no longer orange on top):

Car ready to be packed to move to California:

This car has been with me to California, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachussetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Iowa, and Nebraska. I learned how to drive a manual in it. I've cried in it. I've slept in it - alone and ...not. I've piled everything I own into it and moved across the country not once, but FOUR TIMES. We're selling it sixty miles from where I bought it. It's the only car I've ever owned, and I'm going to miss it!
Bye, Maggie.
