Jul. 29th, 2005 02:26 pmI'm takin' off for a few days. I'll be in Reno Saturday and Sunday and possibly Monday morning as well. If I can somehow weasel out of going to June Lake Monday, I might (might being a very key word here) be in Reno Monday and Tuesday as well. Not expecting that.
Plan:
1. Get on Greyhound in one hour and thirteen minutes.
2. Be on Greyhound for six hours and forty minutes (why is forty spelled forty and not fourty? I had a conversation about this yesterday and am still curious. Also, why isn't 100 said "tenty" and why isn't 110 said "eleventy"? and would 300 then be thirtenty or three tenty? Clark, I think you raised more questions than you answered.).
3. Spend tonight in Reno. Try not to be weirded out by my mom's swollen belly. Try very very very hard to not be weirded out.
4. Leave Reno Monday morning to drive down to June Lake to see my parents, who will have left Saturday morning.
5. Leave June Lake (as fast as possible) Wednesday, drive to Santa Cruz.
6. Spend night at home in Santa Cruz with Nick, wake up Thursday morning and drive to the hospital for the laparascopy. Have Nick drive me home.
7. Recover for a few days. Sunday, drive Mom's car back up to Reno. With or without Nick is uncertain as yet.
8. Try very very very hard to not be weirded out by mom's swollen belly.
9. Come back to Santa Cruz on Greyhound either Monday if Nick comes or however long I can stand in Reno if Nick doesn't come.
Updates to follow.
While in transit, I shall be studying for the GRE, which I will take in September or October, and reading about oxidative stress to prepare for the second project of my thesis, which will begin in September.
If you want to see me on one of the few days I'm in Reno, please call me. I'm leaving in 57 minutes, so replies to this post won't be received until Wednesday.
See you on the flip side.... (Try very very very very hard to not be weirded out.)
