The low point of my day was when, an hour into the day's drive, immediately, in fact, after having gotten onto the interstate and reaching cruising speed, Claire peed on me. And the steering wheel and the driver side door.

I do not believe this to have been a malicious act. She looked at me with big "I'm so sorry, Mommy, but I didn't know what else to do" eyes. Apparently she had forgotten about the litterbox in the passenger footwell.

The high point of my day was when a chinchilla let me scritch its chin, even though I smelled like at least five different cats.

I'm in Michigan currently and will be getting back on the road soon. Let's see how far across the vast plains of corn I can make it in one afternoon!

I am now in Provo, Utah, visiting cousins. My destination is Reno, NV, where my parents live... and from there I don't know. I left Yale with a Master's and am trying to figure out wtf to do with my life. Ideally, I'll get some sort of amazing job in San Francisco... but who knows!

I actually just got back a few weeks ago, and I still don't have a job, but I'm looking at part time stuff to do while I volunteer in a math class around here, pursuant to getting my teaching credential. It's a multi-year plan but at least it is a plan.

Other than that, I've just been chillinggggg. I've been down to Santa Cruz a couple of times to attend parties but eventually I'm going to just spend the day there, have a date with the town. Eat some tacos, you know.
