All this depressiveness is starting to annoy me. I hate being depressed. And I think it's starting to annoy my friends, too (what few I have).
So. "Sometimes you have to help yourself."
Raspberries, cheesecake, cats, sunsets, fog, the ocean, Gilmore Girls, Orlando Bloom, warm slippers, cell cultures, ten million pillows in a huge bed, bowl chairs, coffee, rain, warm sunny days, romantic comedies, whales, DNA, organic chemistry, Gareth, dragons, French, fairies, my huge and amazing extended family, my incredible parents (all 3 of them), Palleros' accent, good books, horses, Paris, bluebells, Weezer, apple juice, chocolate, stars, bunnies (especially ether bunnies), my really expensive leather journal with 600 sheets of really expensive high-quality heavy paper, shiny things, fuzzy things, interesting classes, daffodils, callalilies, grammar, glittery nail polish, champagne, toe rings, hummingbirds, cream cheese on raisin bagels, artichokes, avocadoes, fresh tomatoes, letters, girlfriends, guy friends, undergraduate research.
Those are things to be happy about.
Jamie, lack of sleep, lack of money.
Those are things to be sad about.
So there. What's the problem?
(If I left anything out, please feel free to comment and add it.)

i thought of one!
Date: 2004-07-31 11:06 pm (UTC)From:waffles, water machines, crystals (the way they catch the light), hearing your baby's heartbeat for the first time, feeling baby kicks, seeing ultrasounds with two little feet and two little hands and two little ears... (okay, those last few you don't know yet... but you will in your life), shopping in a mall when the power flickers because of the rain, twirling in said rain, cake, sleepovers with pillow fights, finding clothes that actually fit AND are inexpensive, sleeping in the sun with your favorite pillow, laughing till it hurts (and then laughing even harder when everyone else looks at you like you're insane), wearing makeup to go out with friends, liking (even *gasp* loving) yourself, having friends that will do anything to help you out (even if it means they have to sleep on the floor during their spring vacation home), making late night phone calls to friends just to talk, getting an e-mail from a really good friend, eating an ice cream sandwich with your mom, singing at the top of your lungs.. in public, lighting a candle just to watch the flame,
and last (on this list, that is) but not least...
anything chocolate.....
and yet somehow, i know there's more out there that makes me happy.
