My mom guilted me into not taking a year off.

I broke up with Nick last night.

The UCSF application still isn't available.

I haven't done ANY of the stuff I was supposed to do for my thesis this summer.

School starts tomorrow.

I guess the real question is - do moms really know best?

If I had followed my mom's advice, I'd certainly be in a different place now. A better place? *shrugs* Who knows.
