Feb. 20th, 2009 11:53 amIs this a scam? I've been sending out emails to jobs listed on Craigslist, so I very well could have applied for this job. But this reply came from an address I haven't seen before, let alone mailed a resume to. I'm confused.

Basically, we do custom writing and major bulk of our work constitute academic writing viz. Essays, Term Papers, Research Papers, Book Reports, Thesis etc.
These are used as guides.
Payment: We pay a current rate of $7-$8 per page (around 300 words). Payments are processed biweekly through PayPal.com. It's directly deposited into your account associated with the email address that you sign up with. If you don't have a paypal account it's fairly easy to set up one.
You will be working as a contract employee. The condition for working with us is simple. All submitted work has to be original, zero plagiarism and completed by the agreed deadline. If you can deliver quality content then you can expect a steady stream of work.
For the first project you shall be paid a portion in advance and the rest upon completion. This is meant as a courtesy. If you wish to proceed further then I will go ahead and send you a paid test project to begin with. This is used for screening purpose. The completion of this project doesn't guarantee automatic employment but you shall be fully compensated for it.
Best,
Dave
