My sister's imagination
Nov. 20th, 2008 12:28 pmMom: your sister has developed an active imagnination
Mom: the other day, when I got home, she was a chicken
Me: *laugh*
Mom: then a tadpole
Mom: then a frog
Mom: then Alice, the lizard
Mom: then a smoke detector
Me: *LAUGH*
Me: a smoke detector??
Mom: yeah. isn't that hilarious?
Me: that's awesome
Me: how was she a smoke detector?
Mom: there's one in her room, and we talk about it all the time (she brings it up)
Mom: she just says she's a smoke detector
Mom: no special clothing or anything
Me: *laugh*
Mom: other things she's been this week:
Mom: a goat
Mom: a poodle
Mom: a bee
Mom: a pill bug
Mom: Pug the bug, from one of the early reader books I bought for you
When I was in Reno she was a caterpillar every night before bed, and she'd have to be wrapped up in a blanket and carried from the living room to her bedroom. Glad to see she's branching out.
My favorite quote, though, is still "A hummingbird is not a lobster." Classic.
