Vaarsuvius felt left out after I posted those pics of Claire. So he decided to be extra cute today.
Since he was being so ridiculously adorable, we decided he needed to be cuddled. At first he wasn't so sure about these "chin scritches," but he actually seemed to really like them once he got over the surprise. When he's angry or scared he has a dark banded pattern (see below), but he went all pale green again after a few seconds of chin scritches. We have a cuddly chameleon!
A Boy and His Chameleon:
Angry lizard butt! Look at those stripes!
He got really excited when we put him back near the cage and he could see his plant.
He reaches!
He grabs the edge of the cage!
And heads back towards the plant as fast as possible.
Afterwards we watered him and he hung out on the screen to avoid the pesky rain (he really hates it when we water the plant/him--check out those stripes again).
