I ***LOVE*** the kid and his dad playing ball. Oh wait. He's playing ball with himself. Clearly these people were writing a Science paper about the wrong thing. I mean, they're writing about sperm when they have figured out how to transport people through time?!?
A guy I did an REU with a few years back (same guy who gave himself racoon eyes using a gel box with safety goggles instead of a face shield) had a bacteriophage that covered the entire calf of his leg. He had grand plans for other associated things, I don't know if he ever did them. I wouldn't be surprised if he had.
