I highly recommend it, although the guidebook warns that it's nearly impossible to go anywhere during the height of summer. Maybe go in September/October? It would be gorgeous in fall, most of the summer tourists would be in school, and lobsters would still be in season. I'm glad it's not totally obvious the alpaca would be as soft as their wooll--it somehow seemed like such a silly thing that it had never occurred to me to think about the animal the fiber came from. Incidentally, I did a bit of internet research after I posted this, and have decided that someday I'm going to have alpacas. Someday. :-)
