That sounds like such a fun trip! I've heard such great things about the Maine coast and you've made me want to go there even more... You're right about the alpaca, but it's not totally obvious they'd be soft - have you ever felt a sheep in the field? They're all sticky and dirty and feel nothing like the final wool... -SP10
