Oh... but this isn't a final. This is question 6 of 6 they've given us throughout the semester.
The cell bio one IS a take-home final, though. It's actually significantly easier than this one, except for the three questions that follow this format: "We don't understand X. Hundreds of experiments have been done and we still don't understand X. Design an experiment to understand X." With the implication that the professor grading the question will then assign our answers to his next rotation students so he can win the Nobel prize by solving a question that PhDs haven't been able to answer for years. AGH.
