I have finally finished the pack of 1 million packages of Ramen that I bought for 3 cents. I can now afford to buy real pasta and to eat things that have less than a pound of salt in them.
The tea for women and moon cycles and hormones or whatever that I got tastes really good and makes me feel fantastic (herbal teas are such a good idea, and I love trying out the different combinations of herbs) but I have to use two teabags if I don't want it to taste like hot water. Why is that? It doesn't seem to matter how long I let it steep, either. It's gotta be two teabags or no taste at all.
And my icon makes me want sushi. I haven't had any since I left Santa Cruz.

Bah. I'm so sick of ramen. I miss real soups. Like miso! Good miso soup, with some unagi on the side... Mmmmmm. I want hamachi and quail eggs and wasabi and man. I need to find myself a sushi restaurant in New Haven.

I meant to make it to the Swing thing today, but didn't. I stayed up until 4 AM studying Friday, and am studying today too. So far I've learned that I Jordan's book on graphical models is easy to understand, but that, for all of its rigor, Lauritzen's book was designed to put fear into the hearts of PhD students.

The swing thing was a lot of fun. It wore me out, though. I think they're going to have some more smaller workshops in a couple of weeks, so keep on the lookout for those. I might go to them as well, because lord knows I have like seven left feet.
Can't help you with the graphical models, man. You're on your own with your fear and your Lauritzen.
