So some fun stuff happened this week.
I went to the ATM on Tuesday after sailing to get some cash. The ATM wouldn't give me any money; it kept asking if I wanted to check my balance. No, I said, give me money. Finally I gave in and said yes, I wanted to check my balance, and after a second the machine spit out a receipt and my card. I looked at the receipt, expecting to see a small number, but definitely large enough for me to retrieve some cash.
The number was large. Strangely large, I thought. And then, is that--what??! That's a negative sign!
I called the bank and checked my balance by phone. Yep. Really really big negative number. I started to cry.
Eventually I got hold of a customer service rep, who transferred me to the claims department, and eventually someone told me that yes, somehow a website had gotten hold of my debit card information, and there were 11 charges of over $200 each pending on my account. Ouch.
So they put a hold on my account and they're waiting for the transactions to finish posting so they can contest them. I need to call back tomorrow to find out what the deal is; my guess is they'll issue me a new card. *sigh* In the meantime, I have no bank account and no cash. Thank god for credit cards.
Yesterday I went climbing. Neal and Allison and Rainier were there, and the lot of us climbed for like, three hours. I spent a couple minutes bouldering with Rainier at the end (oh my god, someone who is actually encouraging while I climb! the shock!). I think that's the first time I've actually really had FUN bouldering. Anyway, he invited me to go out with him and his posse last night.
So around 11 we all get to the Dakota, which is this gay bar downtown, and I had a cosmo and an apple martini and we all danced like high schoolers. It was awesome. Apparently this is a weekly thing. I'm totally going next week. I love being 21. There's nothing like drunken high school dancing with hot guys (even if they're gay).
Today, as you should all know from my previous post, I finished my thesis. Finally and hallelujah.
I still don't have housing in New Haven. The bank won't give me a car loan. The thing I swore I would do last week? Still haven't done it. And I think I'm going to fail my French class.
But I don't really care. I'm graduating in two weeks! And I can drink away all my sorrows! Yay!!

Yummy apple martinis! They go down so smooooth... Dancing WAS super fun. I seriously haven't danced since high school, so it was also sort of nostalgic and really kind of awesome in that way.
I miss you! I love you!

So I was browsing the Toyota website because I wanted to check out the new model that just came out and under their financing section, they have a link for college grads. And I'm pretty sure you fit all the qualifications... you should check it out. There's no link to the specific page (it's a java site) so just go to www.toyotafinancial.com and click on the Finance link.
And Toyotas aren't bad little cars.
It's worth checking out!
Waffles!
