(no subject)

All this talk of grad school is starting to make my brain turn to mush. I ricochet between feeling like the smartest person in the universe and the dumbest biochemist to ever walk the planet.

I got into Yale. But I sucked on my subject GRE. I got invited to interview at UCSF and Berkeley. But when I get there they will realize that I'm an idiot and refuse to accept me. I've been semi-productive in lab the last three weeks. But I still don't have any usable data (hopefully that will change Friday?). I'm never going to finish my thesis... *cries*

Welcome to Emotional Roller-Coaster #8,736. Wait, no... this is #8,737.

At least I got into Yale. *repeats as mantra*

I'm out of chocolate.

Ooh, and most importantly, go check out phdcomics.com, because honestly, until you've read a comic strip about graduate students you really haven't lived. Well, that might be a lie, but it's still funny.

Back to staring at Thermo homework...

The interview is February 24. And yeah, I think it's at Mission Bay, at Genentech Hall? I'm not sure if it's there or not, but I've visited that campus twice, and it is pretty. I can't wait until it's all finished and gussied up. Which campus are you on?

my department and my job are @ laurel heights and my classes have been split pretty evenly between laurel heights and parnassus.
