It's 7 am.
Body: I have to pee.
Mind: No way, man, it's warm here in bed.
Body: I have to PEE.
Mind: We have another half hour of sleep!
Body: NOW.
Body wins. We go to the bathroom.
7:03 am.
Body: Mmm, back into the warm bed.
Mind: I'm bored.
Body: Shut up. Twenty-seven blissful minutes of sleep await us.
Mind: I'm bored.
Body: ...
Mind: I'm bored.
Mind then begins holding conversations with itself and analyzing the fabric of the universe. Mind goes through a few years' worth of history and then catapults into philosophy.
Body: Fine. How about we turn on the computer and bring it into bed with us? Then you can write.
Mind: Squee!!
No one asked ME how I feel about this. Frankly, I'm pissed at my mind. It wouldn't let me sleep last night, and now it woke me up half an hour early, so instead of eight hours of sleep, I got just under six. Damnit.
