We set a date!

 The wedding is gonna be Sunday, April 22, 2012, in Santa Cruz. YAAAY!!

Also, I am amazed at how, so far, 75% of the people I've spoken to about my wedding fears have offered to do something to alleviate them. Like make my dress. Or take our pictures. Or find us a location.

Dude. A Practical Wedding is right about everyone coming together and helping out. This wedding is gonna be seriously awesome.

Also, anyone have an invitation-printing hobby? How about wedding cake-baking?

Awesome! 11 months from today, huh? (: We had just under 10 months and I think it was a good amount of time to plan. Doable and not that stressful, but also not drawn-out. Exciting!!

Yep! I think it'll be a good amount of time. We've done a goodly amount of planning already, so I think the biggest problem will be not getting too ahead of ourselves, and not going crazy waiting for it to get here. :-)

Hooray! I'm so excited!

Here is my advice: On your wedding day, something WILL go wrong. It's fine. expect it to happen, breathe when it does, and move on. At the end of the day the important thing is that you and Jim are married.

About the invitations: When I got mine, the printer screwed up and gave us triple the amount we asked for. Since we had a contract, and it was clearly their mistake, I got the extras for free. You'd think that would be awesome, but what do you do with over 1,000 extra invitations? We could always send them to you, and you could cross our our names for yours. THen you could have free invitations! giggle giggle.

I'm not too worried about all the details being perfect! I mostly just want people to be happy, and be nice to each other, and to eat good food and hopefully to get some good pictures of all of it.

Hmm. Free invitations! Tempting. Maybe I could just use whiteout all over them. :-D
