I'm home! I'm in one piece!

The car is also home and in one piece; the tow truck eventually showed up and took me to the dealer. Eight days and $300 later, the car is back where it was last Thursday when it broke, but it now has a new ignition lock cylinder deal and I have an extra key. Hurray.

I'm so not ready for school to start again tomorrow. So. Not. Ready.

Also, I'm either lazy or depressed or coming down with mono, because I can't seem to stop sleeping. Every few hours I crawl back into bed and fall asleep for two or three hours. Bah.

Also also, in reference to Gilmore Girls two weeks ago, I'd just like to say WTF? I'm going to assassinate the new writer.

That's been the story of my Thanksgiving weekend, too. Not a bad thing....just...haven't accomplished much.

YAY! You're home! I want to hear all about your trip :)

And... Mono is the nasty!! Is your throat all gross and inflamed? Do you feel like you have strep throat, but a million times worse? Yuck! That is one disease I never want to have again. I feel really bad for you if you have it.

Bah to GG this season. It's almost like the new writers didn't watch the previous 6 seasons and just are trying to pull stuff out their asses. Although I thought the ending of last weeks episode was good. And by ending, I mean the last 2 minutes with Luke.

Hmm, no, my throat is fine. I guess that rules out mono. Maybe I'm just lazy. :-P

What is going ON with GG? It's insane. I agree, it's like they're trying to make it into a soap opera to get people to watch it or something. I liked it better when it was about Rory and Lorelai and not about drama. I do agree that the last two minutes with Luke were great, though. Maybe there's hope for them. I hate her being with Christopher! I hate that he talked her into it and Rory wasn't even there! Gah. I could go on and on... don't get me started. :-P

I saw the pictures of Galen you sent out! So. Cute!!!!

[identity profile] fieryminge.livejournal.com 2006-11-27 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Stupid Christopher. And darn Rory for being "happy" about it. I'm like you too.. I could go on for a while about it ;) I think Luke is going to break them up. He seemed to wake up in last episode when he saw Lorelai. And she still doesn't seem too happy about it.

I'm in the process of making you some icons ;)

[identity profile] oceantheorem.livejournal.com 2006-11-27 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
Icons for Karala!! Yay!!

I think Lorelai is the one that needs to wake up. And Rory does need to get her act together, so I'm glad she's moving out of Logan's place. It was kinda weird having her live there.

iconoclastic?

Man. You must really hate kissing.

'cause really. My drinking saltwater goes something like this:
1. Take a mouthful of saltwater.
2. Spray saltwater out of mouth with utmost rapidity.
3. Shudder and grimace, accompanied by appropriate sound of distaste, e.g. eeblgweaah
Also, having once drunk some saltwater, I think I'm especially keen not to drink any more; my thirst for saltwater is certainly not increasing. Which I think is a pretty typical reaction.

So yeah, you hate kissing. Or you've never drunk saltwater, or you're really weird.

Nope, you guessed it. I hate kissing.

Two points for divining the underlying point of my icon! Congratulations!

All right! Two points! Do I win?

Two points is only a winning score in soccer.

Which is clearly the best game in the universe. I WIN!!

All right, but your prize is an intimate evening with me (and possibly a bottle of purple hair dye?)(no kissing allowed).

By the way, on Saturday, you'll wake up with fluorescent hair (just a reminder).

Well I was going to ask about the icon, but I guess that's all been cleared up already.

Also, I was sleeping a whole lot over break too, and my parents explained it away by saying that when you're under stress, you tend to stay awake better despite sleep deprivation, but then you crash when you have a break. I guess that makes sense, and it's kind of nice that that works.

Well, it's nice to know that people look at my icons and my posts as entities that are supposed to go together... Sorry to throw you off. :-P

Yeah, stress causes an increase in cortisol in your bloodstream. There's a whole fun pathway that this affects, but I won't go into it. Cortisol is also the reason people tend to get sick right after finals. Anyway. I am feeling better (or more awake) now, but that could just be because I'm stressed out again.
