A couple of reasons:

1) It is really honest. That isn't to say that you're other posts (or anyone else on my friends list for that matter) comes off as disengenous or anything, but this has a very immediate and credible emotional feel to it as opposed to an analytical or descriptive vibe that you, me, and most of my other LJ friends utilize when writing normal day to day entries.

2) It is really amazing seeing on paper (so to speak) the crazy amounts of stuff you've been through. I look at my life over the last 10 years and Megan's and my other friends' lives and most of us became adults and who we are today during the last decade. We've all had really crazy lives. I did a brief year/decade retrospective and several of my friends have as well. Seeing other people's and doing one myself has made me realize just how wild and crazy it is to be alive on planet earth. Your writing really captures this fact the most elegantly out of all of my friends - which is saying something considering the fact that my friend Dre (LJ user: boomerangslash) is one of the best writers I've met and he also did this.

3) I also realize that you and I have really known each other since mid-2003, so I've seen a lot of changes happen in your life. I was sort of an observer during a lot of your big moments and it is really cool to look at your retrospective and realize that in a very immediate way. It made me a weensy bit sentimental. :)

All in all, it was a kick ass entry.
