when you say "bad approximation to a human being," do you mean it like there aren't enough sig figs? or is it more like an infinite series converging to a specific value and you only have finitely many terms? If the first case, by how many sig figs are you off? if the second, you should consider finding a series that converges to the element you want at a faster rate.
