1) They have to be in water all the time, so when you put them under the microscope on their little slides, you can see them waving their tiny little polyp tentacles around in the seawater. It's totally cute. And come on now! Microscopic colonies attacking each other? It's a cute little mini war....
2) Children of Men. Oh my god. I ran out of adjectives that can accurately describe it. One of my favorite things about it is how much it leaves out--you don't know what the Human Project is, you don't know what caused mass infertility (well, neither do the characters), you don't know so many other little things. But you don't need to--the movie is about hope, not about babies. It's fantastic. It's about finding a reason to live.
